What's better than a barbecue-themed party on a hot night in the city? Leandra Medine, a.k.a The Man Repeller, took over the window of Maje’s Soho boutique, giving us a glam backyard BBQ with a grill, cupcakes, and of course, flamingos. Customers and fashion insiders (including Rebecca Minkoff) sipped iced tea and watermelon cocktails while doing some shopping and enjoying tunes provided by DJ Chelsea Leyland.

Maje opened its third US boutique at 10 Prince Street in the NoLita neighborhood of New York City on April 29th. The new boutique joins our Bleecker Street (417 Bleecker St.) and Spring Street (145 Spring St.) locations in downtown New York.

The new space features women’s apparel, shoes, handbags, jewelry and accessories. The store interior is made to resemble a traditional Parisian apartment featuring a mirrored chandelier, chevron wood floors, gold leaf detailing and a roped wooden swing display.

Of the store opening, SMCP CEO Frédéric Biousse says, “NoLita is right at the heart of our strategy which is to combine flagships with locally anchored neighborhood stores. NoLita is a trendy neighborhood which is becoming more developed. It is close to the bustle of Soho, but is a little bit out of the way, where people are not in such a rush.”

Racked, Inside Maje’s New Store on Prince Street Style.com, A Sister Act Strikes Again

On May 3, Judith Milgrom flew in from Paris to host Maje’s Bleecker Street party with Vogue to celebrate the Fall Winter 2012 collection. The store was packed with style savvy New Yorkers and stylist Vanessa Traina who styled models in the new looks for the night. DJ Hannah Bronfman’s sounds added to the downtown vibe and she wore our new “it” item, the Brigitte Bardot Tee.

Last night, lucky customers at our store on Bleecker Street enjoyed complimentary champagne, blowouts, and makeup application – and of course shopping at Maje! We styled our customers in new spring looks, giving them a head-to-toe makeover!
